Take Advantage Of Projects For Baram — Assemblyman

Orang Ulus in Telang Usan areas are urged to take advantage of projects planned for Baram.

Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau said the government was committed to bringing development to the area, even the furthest part of Telang Usan.

“You must analyse and take advantage of projects being planned for Baram. As at this point of our life, we should be wise enough to see what we need to develop our vast and sparsely populated area,” he said when officiating at the extension site for Kampung Lepo Gah, Tanjong Tepalit, a Kenyah settlement in Ulu Baram yesterday.

SPDP Only Wants To Move Forward, Says Balang

Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party only wants to move forward and thus will not dwell on issues and things that happened in the past.

Its secretary-general Nelson Balang Rining told reporters at the party’s headquarters here yesterday that whatever happened during the triennial general assembly in 2009 was no longer relevant.

He said this when asked to counter a claim uttered by the sacked former secretary-general Datuk Sylvester Entri that SPDP’s fallout with him was due to the non-compliance of a so-called ‘status quo’ plan.
